Fides Logistics and Order Fulfillment
In 2015, Fides was awarded the contract to upgrade and automate the logistics operations of an established distributor to the catering trade. The client had a large warehousing and distribution service that covered major areas in Scotland. They also had telesales and field sales teams taking customer orders on a daily basis. The challenge was to effectively manage their diverse and expanding operations and processes. They needed an efficient technology solution to streamline processes and improve business output.
Fides Logistics and Order fulfillment solution was proposed and later implemented at client sites. The cloud based application has a scalable architecture based on Angular and Node JS. The solution helped the client to improve operational efficiencies, increase order fulfillment and collaboration between supply chain partners. Using a single view of orders and inventory across the entire fulfillment network, the application enabled the client to order and receive from any channel, get a committed fulfillment promise and track the order status.
